Meet our dedicated team

Dr Krista McAllister
Dr Krista McAllister grew up on a mixed farm and spent most of her youth riding horses and imagining her career as a veterinarian. Over the past years her career has included research, business ventures and motherhood. She always knew veterinary medicine was where she belonged, and she is delighted to be a founding partner of Docs on the Bay. She enjoys all aspects of practice but especially building long term relationships with her patients and their human families. She enjoys her country lifestyle with husband, sons, various horses, ponies, dogs and cat.

Dr Tami Matheson
Dr Tami Matheson is well known in Charlotte County with a lengthy career of helping people and pets. She tried and declined retirement and is the driving force behind Docs on the Bay. She is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and has expertise in all aspects of veterinary practice. “Dr. Tami” as she is known to her devoted clients enjoys most surgical challenges and has a special interest in dentistry. She is a horse lover from way back and spends her down time at camp, trail riding, drawing and planning trips across the country.

Ella Pike
I grew up around animals, small and large, which is where I obtained my love for all animals. I decided to go to Oulton College and become a veterinary technician so that I could help them live a happy and healthy life. My favourite part about being a tech is watching the young puppies grow up and getting to know them through all their life stages. I have been showing horses for 10 years now and on my free time you can find me out in the barn with my horse and mini donkey. I was born and raised in a small town called Nackawic, but I can’t wait to move onto the next chapter of my life in the beautiful town of St. Andrews.

Cathy O'Neill
Cathy O’Neill, RVT, was born and raised in Cape Breton, N.S. After attending Saint Francis Xavier University, she was recruited as a regular member by the RCMP. She has lived in Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland, British Columbia and now New Brunswick. Realizing that family and animals were her real passion, she joined the veterinary family in 1984 and has been working as a veterinary technician ever since. Years of teaching obedience classes in the community and breeding Weimaraner‘s for a period of time lead her to her interest in canine and feline behaviour.
She is married with two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren and is currently owned and controlled by a young English Pointer and two house cats.

Leanne Dow
Leanne has always had a strong passion for animals for as long as she can remember and working at a vet clinic has always been a dream of hers. She grew up in St. Stephen and just down the road was her grandparents farm, where most of her days were spent tending to the barn cats/kittens and occasionally trying to sneak them home. When not at work she is chasing around, trying to entertain her lab puppy who is very busy, as most lab owners know.
